Yes, I do hate it when people say this ...there are so many things wrong with the statement. What statement is that? Again, what statement is that?? I'm glad you asked ...

If someone takes over a people by force and controls them ...what word am I looking for?

Considering how many people are involved, when the action does happen, and the attitude towards the action ...well, I hear about he/she/they. No, that's all describing conjugating a verb ...and though it may seem cruel to make me comply with proper grammar, it's not hurting the verb.

The word I'm looking for is subjugate, not conjugate. Yes, if a people are taken over and controlled by cruel barbarous subjugation, and assume I am one of the oppressed people, then am I guilty for what the people are doing to others ...which they are also doing to me??

You could say that I did not resist enough, and therefore took part in what you may call passivity. But, there is a big difference between whether one lives under the rule of a ruthless dictatorship or a democracy. If we view ourselves as civilized, and we do have freedom of speech and many other laws protecting our opinions, then there are civilized ways to approach problems ...and mostly they may take much more patience and perseverance than we may want to invest our time in, but there is often much more productive results.

Okay ...here are a couple questions. Are all Germans responsible for the Holocaust? And are the Jewish people to be blamed for killing Jesus??

I guess there is no law against ignorance ...otherwise, I'd probably be in trouble with law enforcement constantly. But, I am not ignorant of the basics ...and I'm not ignorant of what the Bible says. So, if you are going to mention Jesus ...then I would think it would be ignorant not to look to the Bible as your source.

It is always so disturbing to me when I hear people say that the Jewish people killed Jesus. That's not what the Bible says. Thousands upon thousands of Jewish people gathered to listen to Jesus, and the majority of them followed Him. If the Jewish people wanted to voice their dislike for anyone, they would be no different than the rest of us who voice our opinions ...but the difference is that they had to be more careful how they voiced their opinions. Yet, they did not have to be careful not to criticize Jesus, it was the Roman government leadership who they had to be careful around. And the government didn't seem to care about anyone's protests, except protests against them.

Yes, it was the religious leaders who were heading up all their concerns ...as I see it, to protect their own false leadership and standing.

The vast majority of Jewish people at that time were a concern because they followed Jesus, not because they wanted him killed.

And if I say that, the response forthcoming is usually asking me why the majority of them chanted for Barabbas to be released and Jesus to be crucified. You may not have asked the question, but it is now that I'm going to answer it. And many people don't really listen when told something, so I am going to ask you something, so you can discern how you are going to see it ...not just repeat what someone has said. My question is where do you think most of the protests take place in our country (assuming you also live in the United States)??

Well, since I cannot hear your answer, I will check my computer ...and AI overview has said that major cities and around government buildings. And what kind of people usually lead protests in these areas?? Of course, that is not a fair question, but it is fair to look at the account in the Bible. Barabbas was imprisoned because he protested against Roman rule and he murdered someone (according to the Gospels). Who would be shouting for his release, besides others who supported him?? And when people support protests, who are they often against?? Why would they be calling for Jesus to be crucified?? The followers of Jesus were mostly peaceful, and Jesus showed compassion for people who did wrong ...encouraging them to do right.

Traditionally, I see in the Bible that the Jewish people were very hospitable ...and I see much today to support the fact that they still are. They would not support the crucifixion of Jesus ...back then, or now.

So, it makes no sense to me to hear those who say the Jewish people killed Jesus. And I've heard many Christians (those who claim to follow Jesus) say this very thing ...so, I contend that perhaps they should rethink that statement, and also restate it.

And it has bothered me much lately, because once again, the government of this free country which I live in (the U.S.A.), has been introducing amendments to a bill in Congress addressing antisemitism ...and this point was brought up again. I guess we do have the right to be ignorant if we choose ...yet, if you refuse to listen to the reason offered by others, then it is not ignorance, but a form of stubbornness.

Again, I think we should look at who would want Jesus killed ...and we don't need to prove who was at the scene of the crime (we know that it was in the city and the government officials and religious leaders were involved); we know the murder weapon (the barbarous means of enforcing compliance through crucifixion); and so we only have to look at 'motive'.

By reading the Gospels, we see Jesus being sent back and forth ...and none of the government officials wanting to prosecute Jesus. So, who was trying to provide evidence against him? And who felt threatened? In short, who had the 'motive'?? And the answer to all those questions are the same ...clearly the religious leaders who felt threatened because Jesus was gaining so many followers, and perhaps they feared some of their false teaching may be exposed.
